The role
An opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our Signalling & Telecoms department working in our Birmingham office.
Key accountabilities
Key duties will include:
Undertake general office administration duties
Support document control withing Signalling when required
Support the Management team and provide an efficient and effective general administrative and secretarial support service.
Provide a consistent telephone presence on behalf of the team delivering excellent customer service levels and manage the front door to the office.
Provide communications to the team, including sending messages as required.
Support the resource team with general administration with rostering and van allocation
Arrange travel, hotels and vehicles, and order and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team.
Collate timesheets, vehicle inspections & process for commercial/engineering teams.
Report team problems e.g. IT and office facilities and monitor response.
Skills & experience
You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role. The candidate will also ideally have the following experience/skill set:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Proficient in MS office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Flexible/proactive – can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
Good communication and organisational skills.
The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines.
