Business Development Manager

Due to the continued growth of the company, our client City Demolition is looking for a Business Development Manager working from their Head Office in Birmingham. They are seeking a confident, driven and enthusiastic Business Development Manager, reporting to the Directors, to seek out and strengthen our regional and national growth strategy.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute, have excellent communication skills, a proven track record in generating new business with a consultative approach to selling.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing and challenging business, where new and unusual projects are the norm, and your usual day would consist of:

Supporting the Business to identify new sales opportunities in existing and new markets within the midlands and nationally.
Developing and updating business development plans for the prescribed geographical area
Building market knowledge and intelligence on potential new clients and projects
Identify tender opportunities and work with their technical teams to develop a response
Collaborate with their technical departments to develop new ideas for the improvement of business development, marketing and communications.
Work collaboratively with the Directors to develop marketing campaigns Recording business development opportunities within their system building long-term relationships with current and new clients

This is a geographical based position covering the midlands and expand nationally, so living in and around Birmingham is preferable.

Experienced Business Development within the construction industry, demolition and remediation industries desirable.
Determined, outgoing, positive, articulate and diplomatic
Self-motivated and proactive with a proven business development track record.
Performance driven – energy, enthusiasm and determination.
Strong communication skills, good organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
